Hollis Schmidt, LCSW, is a Denver-based therapist who believes healing happens best in spaces that feel safe, collaborative, and deeply human. With experience in crisis response, addiction treatment, inpatient and outpatient care, and university counseling, Hollis specializes in supporting people through moments of overwhelm, transition, and change. She currently works as a Crisis Clinician at the University of Colorado Denver and in private practice, meeting clients with curiosity, humor, and compassion—exactly where they are.
My Story
Hollis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addictions Counselor in the state of Colorado. Hollis is trained in EMDR and DBT as well as various other trauma-informed and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Hollis enjoys working with adults struggling with sobriety, managing major life transitions, exploring and processing trauma, processing grief, and experiencing other mental health concerns. Hollis is dedicated to anti-oppressive and anti-racist work in her therapy practice and values cultural humility and emphasizing the client as the expert of their own experience.
